Dottie Palsgrove, mandolin

 

Dottie Palsgrove, mandolin, has been playing the mandolin since 1993. She played for the Providence Mandolin Orchestra for four years prior to moving to Ohio. She now plays with Heartstrings, an all-acoustic group which performs Celtic, old time and other traditional tunes, and is Concertmistress for the Dayton Mandolin Orchestra. Dottie resides in Casstown, Ohio, with her husband Russ.

Yvonne Wingard, mandocello

 

Yvonne Wingard, mandocello, has been teaching school orchestra for 18 years, currently at Yellow Springs High School, with degrees from Bowling Green State University. She also plays bass, viola da gamba and fiddle, and messes around with a few other instruments for fun. She loves all animals, especially cats and is a fan of mystery books and movies - Perry Mason Lives!

Michael Hitchcock, mandola
 

Michael Hitchcock, Mandola, has played with a number of local and regional folk, old-time, blues, rock and jazz groups since the middle 1960s, including Jonathan & Leigh, The Hotmud Family, and Dayton-Yellow Springs Band. He currently plays mandolin with the jazz group Swing Shift, as well as playing mandola with MMQ and the Dayton Mandolin Orchestra. Mr. Hitchcock resides in Yellow Springs, Ohio, with his wife, Kathryn, and their two small fuzzy dogs.

Allen Richmond, mandolin
Allen Richmond, Mandolin, began his musical adventures performing bluegrass, gospel and old-time country music with PJ & the Poor Boys in the early 1970s before branching out into classical, orchestral and chamber music. He augmented his performance skills by studying conducting with Markand Thakar and Eph Ehly, and composition with Robert Newell and Mark Phillips. In addition to his MMQ opportunities, Mr. Richmond is also music director/conductor of the Dayton Mandolin Orchestra, mandolist with MandolIndy, violist with the Cincinnati Civic Orchestra and NKU Philharmonic, a regional music instructor, guest conductor and chamber music clinician. As a composer/arranger, his works are published by Scioto Publishing Ltd., and are frequently performed by MMQ, as well as other chamber and orchestra ensembles worldwide.
