The orchestra features the members of the mandolin family: Mandolin, Mandola, Octave, Mandocello and Mandobass; and their acoustical cousins, the Guitar and Contrabass, with additional instrumentalists as needed. DMO's repertoire consists of a wide variety of music spanning the Seventeenth through Twenty-first Centuries: Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, Romantic, light Jazz/Big Band, Contemporary, patriotic and seasonal numbers, with a special emphasis on music of the early Twentieth Century: "The Golden Age" of the Mandolin Orchestra's history.
